In the contemporary decade of development wherein communication though has touched the abounding heights of technology, still is barred under the clutches of social and political dominance. Journalism, the essential derivative of communication has also been the victim of this chaotic syndrome. Free communication and freedom of press have always been the remedies of the crawling development that has dissolved the country in its propounding commercialisation.?Gandhi's Free Communication and Free Press', sails through the barriers to the liberty of communication and thereby journalism, and presents a Gandhian perspective to bridge the gap between rights and freedom. The struggle for independence in the history has now been transformed into the struggle for free communication as is illustrated in this work.
