How can the wonderful promises to overcomers or victors, given in Revelation chapters two and three, possibly be fulfilled? What will be done to the kings and generals and commanders that have persecuted the church of the Lord Jesus Christ? What will become of those that have tried to draw the people of God into materialism and the pursuit of pleasure? God gave hmankind the task of ruling over all the earth, but has Satan turned that plan into complete ruin? Why are we here, and does our obedience to our Savior really matter now that we are saved by the Cross? Why should those of us that are being persecuted as Christians stay faithful? These questions are answered with startling clarity in the Book of Revelation, even though we cannot learn the identity of the Anti-Christ, or the date of the Second Coming. Those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, will find great encouragement to be steadfast in their faith, or perhaps great encouragement to repent and order their lives in accord with the truth about Jesus Christ, in the passages discussed in this commentary on Revelation chapters 12-22.
