Krishna was a visionary who had seen the future, but he was attempting too much with too little wherewithal at his command. He was, so to speak, attempting to kick too many buckets simultaneously. Thus, metaphorically speaking, all the doors were to shut in his face in the rebound. He had envisaged to bring about the new world order, the task to be taken over from him by his inheritors in the persons of the Buddha (the enlightened one) and Ashoka the great.
