The People’s Linguistics Survey of India tries to give an idea of the languages of India-the widely spoken ones as well as the ones slowly going out of use. The book is the outcome of a nationwide survey of languages that has been documented by linguists, writers, social activists, and members of different speech communities. This volume covers the languages that are spoken in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The book tries to document all these languages before they disappear and are no longer spoken. The detailed linguistic descriptions given in the book have been taken from native speakers through oral interaction/by speaking with them directly.
