In Dewad pata the girls throw some coins on the ground in the circle of their dance inviting the boys of that village. The boys try to break the circle to get into it. The girls resist their entry. This part of Diwad Pata is called ‘Mudda Pata’. After the dance performance the head of family offers them a basket of rice or paddy and also some money. When the girls bend to lift the basket the boys hit them mildly. The girls through their song requests the cheliks (unmarried boys) not to do so.
