This book presents some selected readings on enduring challenges in West Asia. The chapters comprising this are on the contemporary issues but are anchored in the complexity of its historical evolution. All chapters present shaky ground on which West Asia is standing and pursuing polices which are proving counterproductive to its present interests and future stability. The old and new problems have joined together and are in the process of seismic change beyond the like and control of the present regimes in West Asia. The enduring challenges being faced by West Asian regimes and peoples are rooted in the history of their failure on different fronts including on the fronts of the Zionism led irredentism and on the fronts of domestic social and political reforms. Each chapter presents a different view point and perspective on different matter but are related to each other in a web of its own kind binding the entire region.
