This Handbook is intended to inform two important aspects of research in Indology, namely, the scope of research in Sanskrit sources and its relevancy in the present day society. It provides a general understanding of different areas of studies on various aspects of Indian cultural heritage based on Sanskrit Literature and of the principles of textual criticism. The Book is divided in three parts dealing with methodology, structure and writing.
