Elementary Botany has been divided into five sections i.e., Plant kingdom, Morphology, Taxonomy, Cytology and Anatomy, each containing introductory and brief details but clearly presents the status of knowledge of the subject for study. The students will be able to acquire a practical basis gradually for the critical evaluation of the theory through the use of this textbook. This document will also prove useful to the students to understand plant types, forms and identification of crop varieties. Clear and copious, neat illustrations have been provided where ever necessary in the text.
