This book is a compilation of sentiments and reflections of those who had loved Dr. Rammanohar Lohia. It is being published 45 years after Lohia's death. Infact, it contains not only the tributes paid on his birth centenary, but also his assessment in the present context, after more than four decades of his death. Dr. Lohia, once said that people would remember him but only after his death. These sentiments can be the expressions of any great person, neglected by his time. Lohia too remained neglected by his time. It was not unusual since the socio-political and educational-cultural atmosphere after the attainment of our freedom, was merely change of caps. This was a continuity of colonialism (The post colonialism name given to it by the historians mostly of the west and greedingly adopted by us), although when Lohia called it so, he was not only ostracized by ruling classes and their institutions, but also called mad, as Socrates was called mad more than 2400 years ago.
