This book on the state and the citizens examines some of the problems faced by the new generation. The author argues that mode of behaviour adopted as dependent and the attitude of rulers cannot be same as the elected government. He also feels democracy cannot function as a dynamic political system unless the citizens are vigilant. The author as you would see from the bio-data is exceptionally qualified and experienced to address these diverse problems. It is an extremely useful and timely book.
