The book comprises survey data of 4274 women (Respondents) from 2000 rural households of four districts of Punjab. Data discuss different aspects of violence against women, occurred in their respective families. Data reveal causes, dimensions and implications of Domestic Violence against Women. It analyze various forms of violence against women linked with socio-economic, cultural, psychological behavioural and environmental factors. Analysis of data reveal that domestic violence is highly prevalent against married women, economically unproductive and illiterate housewives due to husbands' alcoholism, suspicious nature and dowry demand. Abusive behaviour of husbands involve sometimes instinctive but mainly deliberate.
