It is difficult for those unacquainted with the iconography of the of the Buddhist pantheon to realize the degree of interest that may be attached to even a crude representation of a Buddhist divinity. There exist some classic works on the subject written by some of the foremost authorities and stand even today as works of extraordinary scholarship with perennial value. These books are not so easily available or are very hard to find. On consistent demand from the readers and scholars for quite some time, we have now brought together these classics in one easily accessible work.
