Rebuilding democracy in the 21st century is a derivative of Arun maira’s book, ‘listening for well-being: conversations with people not like us’ published in 2017. In that book, Maria had examined the nature of democracy, and the quality of deliberations that are necessary for inclusive and effective democracies. He had analyses the impact on democracy of social media, competitive electoral politics, and the conversion of media into a business. This new book contains three chapters in which he has outlined the way forward to rebuild the foundations of democracies.
