The book is an original piece of work conducted by both the authors. The research intended to unveil the practices adopted by the healthcare units in Barak Valley to meet the healthcare standards across the globe. The authors have pursued the research work keeping in mind the colossal rise in the demand of the healthcare facilities across the country and the struggle of the healthcare units in Silchar to maintain a good will amongst the people of the place. It was intended to portray the correct picture of the healthcare facilities in the place based on statistical justification which can either dismantle or confirm the perception of the people of the place regarding the healthcare facilities of the place. The approach adopted in doing so was to investigate the extent to which the healthcare facilities within the place conform to the specification set by the accreditation agencies in the healthcare sector. It is highly expected that the results of the research would facilitate more than one stake holders. It can augment the judgment of the people of the place in deciding the quality of the healthcare facilities. Often the judgment of the people of the place is influenced by word of mouth and therefore cannot be authentic. The healthcare units would benefit highly by becoming aware regarding the loopholes and upgrading the quality of their services. Lastly it would be a reference for the Government about the healthcare condition of Barak Valley.
