Swami Vivekananda,while expressing his vision of starting a Math for women, said to his brother monk: ‘Making Holy Mother the nucleus,once more will Gargis and Maitreyis be born into the world.’ Gargi and Maitreyi were two great women scholars of the Vedic age who stood equal to the great sages like Yagnavalkya,Aswala etc. Making the great Swamiji’s vision true,in 1954 Sri Sarada Math was established on the eastern bank of the Ganges.As time passed the world witnessed several women endowed with the spirit of renunciation and service, attaining to the supremeheights of spirituality and serving the humanity,thus fulfilling the prophetic vision of Swamiji.Needless to say Prarajika Ajayaprana mataji was one among them.
