The district Namsai of Arunachal Pradesh is an important part of the Himalayan Global Biodiversity hot spot and is known for its natural beauty, also for rare and endemic species. It is the foothill district of Arunachal Pradesh which was carved out of the Lohit district in 2014 and became a separate district.
