The cold-water fisheries sector is progressively making significant contribution in the nation’s agenda for food security. The popularity and rate of success in cold-water aquaculture achieved by northern hill states of India have demonstrated that rural areas can become direct beneficiaries by the implementation of intensive aquaculture technologies. The book entitled “Surveillance of cold-water fish diseases” is based on the baseline and biological data collected from 2013-2021 from more than 500 farms through active and passive surveillance mode and has been presented in a meticulous way in the form of a book. The main idea of publication is to disseminate the knowledge on the common diseases of cold-water fish found in the hill states of India. The author and his whole team have presented the data in a lucid way for better understanding/reach out to stakeholders especially, scientists, scholars and students working in Fish Health Management
